                                           Church History

Salem Community Church was originally called Salem Baptist Church and was established in 1832 and is the second oldest church in Lewis County. It remained Salem Baptist Church until the 1950's.

The church was opened briefly in the 1990's and was reopened in 2000.  Since this time the church has had major changes such as a new fellowship hall, bathrooms, outside shelter, new pews, siding on the church but most of all souls saved for the Lord.
